Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RowLens is an extension for Visual Studio Code made by the RowLens developer, an independent developer based in Costa Rica ("we" or "us"). By installing RowLens or buying RowLens Pro, you agree to these terms.

2. What RowLens does

RowLens opens, edits and queries SQLite databases. The free version includes browsing, filters, editing with undo, a query console, export and undoing your last Save, with 3 Pro uses a day. RowLens Pro adds the Change Recorder, the last 10 snapshots of each database, Compare with migration SQL, Column Lens and the Health report.

3. Buying Pro

  • Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and reseller of RowLens Pro. Your purchase is also covered by the Lemon Squeezy Buyer Terms.
  • Prices are in US dollars. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
  • The yearly plan renews automatically each year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the link in your receipt email, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • The one-time license doesn't renew and doesn't expire.
  • Refunds follow our refund policy.

4. Your license

Buying Pro gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use RowLens Pro on up to 3 computers at a time. You may not share your license key publicly, resell it, or try to bypass the license check. We may deactivate keys that are shared or abused.

5. Your databases

  • RowLens changes your files only when you tell it to: when you save, run a query with writes allowed, or restore a snapshot.
  • Keep your own backups. Snapshots are a convenience, and they aren't made for files over 1 GB unless you ask. They expire, and they can be lost with your computer.
  • Migration SQL and the SQL suggested by the Health report are suggestions. Read them before you run them, and run them at your own risk, even when RowLens reports that a migration gave an exact result on a copy.
  • You are responsible for having the right to open and change the databases you use with RowLens.

6. Data and privacy

How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.

7. No guarantees

RowLens is provided "as is". Column Lens may read a sample of a large table, and says so when it does. Reports and comparisons reflect the files at the moment they were read.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, sales or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for RowLens Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using RowLens after a change, the updated terms apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, except where the consumer laws of your country give you additional rights.
